Design and Architectural Consultation
We approach every consultation as a conversation about how you live.
Before we consider finishes or furnishings, we study the structure of the home. Layout, circulation, light, airflow, proportion and the way rooms connect help us understand what is working and where the space may be creating friction.
Many homes feel unresolved not because of decoration, but because the underlying conditions are working against daily life.
Our consultations help identify those conditions and establish a clearer direction before larger design decisions begin.
The Home Environment Study
For clients who want a deeper review before beginning a larger project, we offer the Home Environment Study, a design focused review led by an architect of the less visible conditions shaping comfort, ease and daily life.
Informed by established wellness frameworks, including WELL principles, the study helps clarify how the home is supporting the people who live there, where it may be creating friction and what should be considered before design decisions begin.
Depending on the home and the people living there, key factors may include:
- Natural and circadian light — Window orientation, changing daylight, glare and exposure throughout the day.
- Acoustics and sound — Ambient noise, room relationships and places where sound may interfere with rest, focus or privacy.
- Materials and indoor air quality — Finishes, possible irritants and materials selected for comfort, durability and long term performance.
- Movement and daily rhythms — Circulation, transitions, routines and the ways a layout may support or complicate everyday life.
- Privacy, retreat and connection — The balance between gathering, solitude, refuge and social connection.
- Connection to nature — Views, daylight, planting, natural materials and the relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Adaptability and longevity — How well the home can continue to support its occupants as needs and life stages change.
Every study is tailored to the property and the people living there.
You leave with a clearer understanding of what is working, what may need attention and why.
Interior and Spatial Design
Once the structure and underlying conditions are understood, the interiors take shape with greater intention.
From kitchens and baths to whole home environments, we design spaces that feel balanced, calm and easy to live in. Materials, furnishings, lighting and details are considered in relation to the architecture of the home, not apart from it.
Beauty remains central to the work. Color, material, art, proportion and meaningful objects bring warmth, expression and emotional connection to the underlying architectural order.
The result is a home where structure, interiors and daily experience have been considered together.
Design Management & Implementation
Good design is only as successful as its execution.
With decades of experience across architecture, construction and project management, our team understands what it takes to carry a design from concept through completion. We work closely with contractors, trades, fabricators and vendors to help ensure that the decisions made during design are translated thoughtfully into the finished home.
Depending on the scope, our involvement may include design documentation, specifications, procurement, vendor and trade coordination, construction-phase design review, installation planning and the detailed decisions that arise as a project moves forward.
This continuity allows us to protect the larger vision while navigating the realities of construction, budget, sequencing and implementation.
The Living Showroom
Rather than a traditional store, the Living Showroom brings design into real, lived environments.
Through hosted pop ups, intimate dinners and immersive experiences, clients and community members can experience how materials, objects, scent, food, art and design come together in context.
It is an extension of the same philosophy that guides our residential work: the things we bring into a home should be beautiful, meaningful and supportive of the way we want to live.
Tell us about your home and what you hope to change. We review each submission before scheduling a discovery conversation.
